and this time, it's not for Vendetta.

Happy Valentines Day (for lovers)! and Happy Monday for everyone else! (you guys are still COOL okay? OKAY??) hahah no, really.

Here are my nails for todayyy. For the pattern, i used Konad's m57 imaging plate (frm ebayy) and for the polishes, the base is Revlon's Red (best red ever) and... for the pattern and tip, i just used any ordinary black (though, it's good to make sure that the black is kinda thick and not runny). Pretty cool ey? It'll probably be awhile until i even attempt to do this again.. sigh so bloody time consuming! hope you guys enjoy!

Beach Stackkk

Some photos from my LC-A!
I love taking my LC-A to the beach. As you can see, it produces really awesome vivid-coloured photos. These were unedited images using normal 35mm Fuji/Kodak film + normal film development. BEST.

The photos were taken on my bday (20th Dec) last year when Berny and I decided to go for a nice walk around the beaches. We started our adventure at his favourite beach, Bronte, then walked along the waters edge until we reached Bondi. As per usual, I would then buy a Banana Buzz and he would get a Gym Junkie :) god, i love boost. Afterwards, we just hung around the beach for an hour or two, walked along the sand, and then made our way back to Bronte and the car. It was such a nice day... probably one of the best mellow birthdays where i could just enjoy nature, hang with the bf and get some exercise down!

Bahaha on one of the photos where i'm like sitting right on the edge of a rock/cliff thingo.. haha berny was like the biggest chicken shit. He wouldn't even sit next to me because there was nothing underneath me but a 20 metre drop (onto rocks). lol oh well, at least he was able to take photos from a distance. loll

P.S. I've recently rediscovered Photoscape, and it is THE BEST tool ever. Bascially it's a free photo editing software that allows you to stack (and edit) any number of photos into one large file (sideways/horizontally and in patterns). Essentially, it saves you craploads of time when trying to upload images onto a website. I guess for someone like me, who tends to load a million photos in one sitting, i feel like such an idiot for not remembering this sooner. What i also love about it is that you can resize whole files (using their resize ratio function) so all your pictures will fit wherever you want them to go. IT'S THE BESTTTT. I used to use this a lot when i had the laceandchiffon.blogspot but for some reason i stopped. bleh. stupid brain of mine!

Something to inspire.

"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to."

VIII - A big package just arrived! yeahhh it did. :)

So after one awesome/drunken/stinking hot Australia Day spent with 5 friends at cockatoo island, i came home to this. My lovely new baby, the Instax 210. Mum said the package came this morning so she left it right in front of my room for me to find :) When i saw the box, i was like a kid on Christmas morning - SO excited!

So when i first opened the camera box, my initial impression was literally, 'holy fuck, its bigger than my 7D.' Look at that thing, its ginormous!! but hey, a bigger pol. camera means bigger photos, so that's definately something to cheer about!

I purchased this around 2 weeks ago via Amazon for around $175 (including shipping) but it also came with 5 x twinpacks of film... i.e. 100 pictures! hahah im going to have so much fun with this. i can feel it.

ALSOO, something really awesome with this camera is that it has an attachment lens for Macro shots as well as a mirror if you want to take self-shots, but the only downside is that it doesn't have anywhere to STICK TO... so you'll likely run the risk of scratching the lens or even losing it. bleh.

VII - The most beautiful sunrise

In NSW! During the wee hours of the morning (probably around 4-5am) on our way home from Melbourne :) Sunrise was absolutely stunning. It reminded me a lot of the quote in 'a beautiful mind' when Alicia says 'God must be a painter. Why else would we have so many colours?' It was just a refreshing minder that the best things in life are free.
I was going to post this up last night, but then i got creeped out by the shoe. I have no idea what it was doing there, but when you're in the middle of the country and you stumble onto something this, it does give you a bit of the heebie-jeebies (loll does anyone even say that anymore?). I didn't know what to do! Call crime stoppers? Look up missing children's lists? whaaa.. in the end.. i just did what any normal person would do. Take photos.

Love the alleyways
Flinders! Where the best vintage shopping is done!

Another Coffee Joint

Berny, holding my shoes :) (that i bought)
Student Flights... goodbye to that. :(
Colourful rubix cube of a building (or maybe close to jenga)
Last hour

Walking into the sun :)
Bernyyyy with his new phone. haha

Sadly, this was the furthest we came to Eureka Skydeck. It was like 8pm and we were all starving so we stuffed it and went.
On our way to the restaurant!

V - Melbourne. Day 2 and 50 dollars lighter.

Our second day in Melbourne. In hindsight, i must say that 24 hours on the road for only 3 days of Melbourne was totally NOT worth it, but i guess it was still was fun all the same :) I really loved having the freedom of being in an apartment (and not paying for it) and being able to afford the luxury of going to the city to eat and shop and return back 'home' in just a matter of 5-10 minutes, it was amazing. I should definately go back for NYS! rooftop view! wooots!

In Melbourne, the first thing you notice is that everyone rides bikes.. it's so weird, its like they're all actively healthy n shit.
Needless to say, we caught the tram :)
Here's Maz and my cuz Kenny Boy :)
Moi and Berny!! My legs look awfully wonky in this one. And i'm not sure why my knees are red. I suspect it was because of the carpet on the apartment floor.. it was quite a lumpy kinda carpet.
Annette
Yayyerrss Melbournes Shopping district! The decorations were so different from the last time i went :) Melbourne during XMAS is epic!! Big ol plastic xmas tree
Degraves, best street ever. Straight out of Harry Potter's Diagon Alley
Me and my awesome pumpkin soup! (actually, it wasn't too great.. i really wanted the Spicy Moroccan Chicken, but it was out. sad face)
Architectural Awesomeness
The big clock building.. hahah actually i have no idea what its called, but it reminds me of that building in London (only smaller)
Stars and Patriotism
Pretty shopping centres :)
Melbourne's graffiti totally kicks Sydney's pathetic name tags.
Oooh, inside the 'building within a building' building. Whatever it's called.
I went inside looking for the awesome b&w photobooth that berny and i went in last time, but to my horror, IT WAS GONE!! I couldn't believe it. I bet fukn pancakes on the rocks moved it (seeing as they had a new restaurant there).
See what i mean about building within a building? purrdyy.. This i would call, sustainable development! lol The top part reminds you a little of the old Sega world, no?
Back on the streets, Melbournians and their bicycles.
Finally, a photo of the wide-ass lanes they have in the CBD. It's like they have so much room and nothing to fill it with. Unlike Sydney.

Woooo, and after this, we all went to Crown. Again.
For food, we had some glorious Churros (dipped with chocolate), i forget the name of the place that sold them, but it wasn't San Churros! Also had some Lord of the Fries (which was shithouse)... hmmm and what else, i can't remember. LOL meh.
